i’ve said it before and i’ll probably say it many more times [no, it's not to apologize about not blogging...at least, not this time. there will be many more unintentional blogging hiatuses in my future]: i’m so glad i’m only in the pre-planning stage. there are so many options and inspirations just floating around in the internets just begging to be plucked, adjusted, and used in our future wedding. how can a girl be expected to choose just one idea when there are so many awesome ones available?!
so what have i changed my mind about again? do i really need to say it? okay, the pomanders.
i know, how many times can i possibly change my mind about these things [i think the current count is 4] while i really do like the cupcake liner pomanders i made the last time around, i have a new flavor of the moment: rosettes.
mrs. taffy from weddingbee brought these lovely things to my attention a while back and i was intrigued from the first second i laid my eyes on them.
you see why my heart when a pitter-patter? these rosettes have that fun frilly detail that i didn’t realized i loved until i saw these. they have an interesting shape and did i mention that these are super easy to make? just a couple pieces of paper, some glue and viola! a rosette. then the wheels started churning. these would make the garland that i really wanted POSSIBLE! it would take nothing to punch a couple holes on the sides of the rosettes and string them together! and then i saw this:
oh mrs. taffy, how i heart you. i can alternate rosette sizes to achieve that cool look. can you tell i’m getting excited just thinking about it? and how i’m already thinking of making a prototype? oh be still my beating heart!
and you know what’s even better? stumbling upon these from once wed:
you see what i can do?! behold! the power of the rosette!
if you’re a fan of the office, like myself, then tonight is the night a lot of us have been waiting for: jim and pam get married! whoopie!
or it would be whoopie if you didn’t have class tonight. sigh. so i’ll be playing hide and seek with all the blogs and news reports about the wedding until i’m able to watch it myself. hopefully someone has it posted online by tonight!
i can’t wait to see what happens, especially after what happened at phyllis’ wedding. i hear the wardrobe folks found pam’s wedding dress at david’s bridal because she felt that’s where pam would buy her dress. but what i really want to know is what in michael scott happened to jim’s tie?
part of me wants to think either one of the following have something to do with it: dwight, michael or andy, just trying to help the “big tuna” out. maybe it was jim himself.
i love all the personal touchs made for this wedding. along with the off the rack dress, they even made a wedding website for them. i know what you’re thinking: how long ago did they snag that domain? probably from the get-go is my thinking.
anywho, while some of us are hotly anticipating tonight’s episode, can i also add that this might be the BEST speech ever?
sorry that postings have been so light [read: nonexistent] around these parts lately. things have been whipping up into a frenzy at work and school which left little time to blog. my main site sat dormant and all forlorn looking for almost a month! i was almost reported to the blog protective services for neglect. so bad.
anywho, i have a list of stuff to write about and just need to find the time to do it. but i will! so please hang in there with me!
in other cuteness, check out idiy for a link to this crazy cute diy label idea!
it’s okay if you squealed just a little. i did too.
you know those little scratch off lottery cards? and how that idea has crept into some whimsical wedding stationary, like save the dates and such? like these:

cute, yes? fun? definitely. and you know what’s even better? wait for it…you can make them yourself!
i know!
