so, another wedding blog?
yup. another wedding…wait. you mean there are OTHERS?!
well congratulations! when did you get engaged?
yeah, about that. um…so when a man and a woman love each other…oh, wrong answer. soooo, okay, how do i put this? i’m not engaged.
wait, what? if you’re not engaged then why do you have a blog dedicated to weddings?
why not? is there some kind of rule that states that you have to be engaged to have a wedding blog?
do you plan on answering the rest of my questions with more questions?
it depends. how many more questions do you plan on asking?
seriously?
okay, okay. sorry. so i have this wedding blog. not because i’m obsessed with weddings, quite the contrary actually. i never really thought about weddings in the concrete form until i realized that the boy was THE ONE for me. yeah, big letters “the one.” but i’m quite fanatical when it comes to planning anything, period. i love to research and find projects to do and then find ways to make those projects happen.
and since i’ve found it hard to keep all of these things in my head, i figured a blog made perfect sense. i knew that i’d be blogging the real planning process once that started so why not start a little early to toss out ideas? besides, i want to keep things in perspective so none of this will make its way to my main blog, talda.com. [/shameless plug]
so in summary…you have a wedding blog. pre-engagement…?
in the end, i’m just a girl looking forward to planning a marriage and a righteous party [that'd be "the weddening" as i've affectionately termed things] with my beloved boy while trying not to get lost in the maze of tulle, ribbons and that strange compulsion to make everything match.
“while trying not to get lost in the maze of tulle, ribbons and that strange compulsion to make everything match.”
Yey, I simply could not agree more. What is the fascination with matching!? Bleurgh.
hi there,
is Talda your surname, or just an acronym?
i have run into that before.
as far as i know, i am the oldest male Talda now in the US.
my parents emigrated from what is now the Slovak Republic in the 1920′s.
paul m talda
hi paul. i’m not slovak, i’m korean. tal-da is the korean word for “to be sweet” and i just smooshed the words together to make one word.
I just found your blog…possibly through weddingbee and I just wanted to say I just about laughed out loud at work while I read your reasoning behind wedding blogging… I just started my own blog to keep my fiance sane. I know how you feel though I heading wedding brain well before the engagement. Feel free to check out my blog if you ever get a chance any input would be great…I am early in the planning process, but loving every minute of it.
thanks for stopping by! i’ll be sure to visit your blog soon!
